2026 Full-Scale Exercise, OPERATION FASTBALL, was the Largest to Date!!

After months of planning by our fellows Operation Fastball, the largest iteration of this exercise to date, came to life at Polar Park bringing together more than 450 responders from across Massachusetts healthcare, emergency management, law enforcement, fire and EMS, public safety, academia and the community. The scenario tested responders through a vehicle ramming at Gate A, an active shooter at Gate B, a second shooter inside the stadium, barricade complications, chaotic crowd movement, and a multi site mass casualty response during peak pregame activity.

Responding agencies practiced rapid coordination, Unified Command, and concurrent operations among law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency management……and the fellows planned and ran it all!! Well Done, Class of 2026!!
