Fellows participate in large-scale Civ-Mil exercise in Alaska

As part of the BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine’s comprehensive educational program, some of our current fellows, faculty and alumni participated in a Civ-Mil exercise in Kodiak Alaska with the US military.

They had a great experience working through that critical intersection of military to civilian care in the event of a large-scale mass casualty need. It’s not easy, and these civ-mil exercises improve readiness.

Our military colleagues praised the participation of our team as an integral part of the continuum of care. We are now exploring further collaboration.
